Bring it Home Pleasanton

As a California resident, you know that fall is excellent for spending some time outdoors with your friends or family. And the good news is that there will be all types of amazing and fun harvest festivals in California right around the corner. The Pleasanton Harvest Festival will return to the amazing Alameda County Fairgrounds from Oct 25 to Oct 27.

As a guest, you can shop at hundreds of outdoor and indoor booths. These booths feature original art, clothing, jewelry, ceramics, specialty foods, photography, toys, decor, and a lot more. Isn’t that amazing! If you have kids, they will love this festival as they will have an opportunity to traipse through a unique pumpkin patch and also take part in the KidZone. The KidZone is brilliant as it features distinct Halloween themed make-and-take crafts and arts projects.

Around Vintage, some of the best luxury and high-end apartments near San Francisco, the amazing Pleasanton Harvest Festival pairs the conventional celebration of Earth’s bounty with a delightful arts and craft show as well as a full lineup of some live entertainment that you will love. Did you know that throughout the day, the Pleasanton Harvest Festival features live music and plenty of entertainment on its extravagant outdoor stage?

As there are many activities for your kids, it makes this a great fall extravaganza that your whole family can enjoy and remember for a long time. The festival has featured strolling entertainers, like Frankenstein on Stilts, in the past that roamed the pretty fairgrounds and interacted with guests while they shopped.

Did you know that the Harvest Festival also gives back considerably to the local community? It does this by partnering and collaborating with the prestigious Crown Monarchs Youth Cheer Squad, which is great. Keep in mind that the organization is a notable non-profit, competitive cheer team in the area. Their main purpose is promoting and facilitating athletic participation in dance and cheerleading, as well as fostering the mental, physical, and moral development of young girls.

Usually, the non-profit organization receives fifty percent of the sales proceeds from all of the shopping bags that are sold at this event. It also receives a direct donation from the Pleasanton Harvest Festival.

Alameda County Fairgrounds

You may have heard of the Alameda County Fairgrounds. It is is a 270-acre facility located in Pleasanton, CA. Alameda County Fairgrounds is also home to the yearly Alameda County Fair, which is held since 1912 and numerous community events and trade shows.

Did you know that the Pleasanton Fairgrounds Racetrack is also located on the grounds? The track was built in 1858, which makes it the oldest 1-mile horse racing track in the country. And that is not all; there is also a 3,000 seat amphitheater, and a nine-hole golf course located in the track’s infield.

What You can Expect at the Pleasanton Harvest Festival

Note that the Pleasanton Harvest festival takes place from Oct 25th to Oct 27th at the gorgeous Alameda County Fairgrounds. There is no doubt that central to the celebrations is the massive and brilliant crafts show, where many artisans show off their carefully handmade wares and products for festival attendees.

Featuring over 24,000 embellished and handmade gifts made in American, keep in mind that the Harvest Festival is called the West Coast’s largest indoor arts and crafts show. Also, it is ranked as one of the leading craft shows in the US, which is a big honor. As more than 250 artisans will display their goods and wares at the festival, it will give you an excellent opportunity to find some delightful and unique gifts for you or your family and friends, which is exciting.

Some of them will include a variety of media, including prints, paintings, illustrations, ceramics, jewelry, woodcuts, and clothing, etc.

COVID-19 Precautions

Note that all staff, customers, and vendors will be required to wear either masks or other acceptable face coverings. If you do not wear a mask, you will not be allowed to enter the market. Remember that both Alameda County Fairgrounds and Harvest Market staff are permitted to request you to vacate the premises in case you don’t have an adequate face covering.

Note that the fun does not end at the crafts. You will also see a group of talented live performers and musicians on the lineup at the outdoor stage. In the past, the likes of the popular comedy duo Scotty and Trink, as well as the Fargo Brothers (with their unique and live-n-loud take on classic rock) have graced the stage with their performance.

And keep in mind that you cannot overlook the roving entertainers either. This is because they will stroll the fairgrounds and provide loads of delight for everyone in attendance. Your kids can get their kicks at a pumpkin patch as well as KidZone. Some hands-on activities, photograph ops, and a lot more await. This is why you should bring your younglings out there for an excellent time.

And, as you can imagine, many elements of the Pleasanton Harvest Festival will certainly revolve around food. It is worth noting that there will also be a food drive onsite. This is where you may bring donations to lend a helping hand to your needy East Bay brethren.

History of the Harvest Festivals

Did you know that the Harvest Festivals started more than 40 years ago in San Francisco, mainly as a destination for craftspeople and artists to gather and have an ideal forum to sell their unique handmade products and wares? Keep in mind that today, the show has expanded rapidly to encompass 10 shows in California and Nevada. The event still continues its tradition by exclusively featuring handmade arts and crafts produced in the US.

Note that each exhibitor at the festival is subject to a strict jury process for selection as a featured artisan. And this ensures a rich diversity as well as the quality of all products and goods sold.
